The general objective was to analyze how drought and fire affect habitats, faunal groups, and mitigation strategies within the study area. Methodologically, the study employed qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive bibliographic and documentary research with an analytical-interpretative approach. The corpus consisted of bibliographic, technical, methodological, and institutional sources—published primarily between 2020 and 2026—along with six photographs coded as visual evidence. The analysis was organized into four thematic areas: environmental factors associated with extreme drought; the effects of wildfires on habitats; impacts on wildlife and biodiversity; and institutional responses and mitigation strategies. The results indicate that water scarcity increases vegetation flammability and fire risk; fire causes habitat fragmentation, loss of shelter, forced displacement, and animal mortality; and institutional responses require continuous monitoring, environmental education, firefighting brigade operations, enforcement, restoration of degraded areas, and integrated fire management.
