Through a literature review and documentary study, it discusses the integration between national guidelines and local pedagogical practices, emphasizing the importance of historical-critical pedagogy for the construction of a critical, contextualized, and emancipatory science education. The results indicate that, although the BNCC offers standardization and cohesion, the effective promotion of critical learning depends on the adaptation of the PPP to the specificities of the school community.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilPedagogia histórico-críticaEnsino de CiênciasBase nacional comum curricularProjeto político pedagógicoA base nacional comum curricular e o projeto político-pedagógico: relações e desafios na disciplina de Ciênciastcc_especializacaoCIENCIAS HUMANASCIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO
