The general objective of this study is to analyze how Botany contents are presented in the High School Biology textbook approved by the National Textbook Program (PNLD 2021-2024), verifying whether traditional knowledge and regional flora are included. Methodologically, a qualitative and documentary research was carried out through a content analysis of the textbook collection Conexões com a Biologia. The analysis parameters focused on native Amazonian species, the approach to the Amazon region, and the study of ethnobotanical contexts. The results indicated a strong predominance of exotic or commercial plants (such as pea, pine, apple, and chamomile) and the absolute silencing of native species from Roraima with high ethnobotanical value (such as caimbé, sucuba, and andiroba).
