In this context, swimming stands out as a predominantly aerobic and low-impact sport, favoring the development of cardiorespiratory, motor, and psychosocial capacities. This research adopted a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, using the T-12 Swimming Test, adapted by Cumpian (2019) from the original Cooper protocol (1979), as an instrument for assessing cardiorespiratory endurance. The results highlight the physiological and psychosocial benefits of swimming, such as increased lung capacity, improved physical fitness, reduced stress, and stimulation of socialization. It is concluded that swimming is an effective strategy for promoting comprehensive health, and its expansion as a preventive policy within educational institutions is recommended.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilNataçãoAptidão CardiorrespiratóriaSaúdeEscolaresEducação FísicaA influência da natação na melhora da capacidade cardiorrespiratória dos alunos participantes do projeto de natação do Instituto Federal de Roraima, campus Boa Vistatcc_graduacaoCiências da saúdeEducação FísicaEducação
