In this context, assistive technologies emerge as essential tools to support the teaching and learning process, promoting accessibility, communication, and students’ autonomy. This article aims to analyze the challenges and possibilities of using assistive technologies in the education of students with ASD, based on a literature review supported by authors such as Mantoan (2003), Mendes (2010), Bersch (2017), among others. The methodology adopted is qualitative, based on bibliographic research and documental analysis. The results show that although assistive technologies are essential resources to enhance learning and inclusion, barriers remain related to teacher training, lack of institutional investments, and resistance from part of the school community. It is concluded that the appropriate use of assistive technologies, combined with inclusive pedagogical practices, can contribute to a more democratic school capable of meeting the needs of all students.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilTecnologias assistivasTranstorno do Espectro AutistaInclusão escolarEnsino FundamentalEducação inclusivaTecnologias assistivas para inclusão: superando as barreiras e potencializando a aprendizagem de alunos com TEAtcc_especializacaoCIENCIAS HUMANAS
