Silva, Larissa Paiva Viegas daCosta, Jayne Pinto2026-08-212026-08-212026https://repositorio.ifrr.edu.br/handle/123456789/484This work aims to analyze the articulation between the mid-level technical courses offered by the Federal Institute of Roraima, Boa Vista Campus (CBV), and the current labor market of Boa Vista-RR, in order to understand the challenges and possibilities of Professional and Technological Education (EPT) in student training. The research has a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a bibliographic review and on a documentary analysis of the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs) and curricular matrices of the CBV integrated technical courses, the Institutional Development Plan (PDI 2019-2023), the National Catalog of Technical Courses (CNCT) and institutional publications. The results of the IFRR 2025 Alumni Survey Report, published by the institution in February 2026, were also used as a source of secondary data. The results demonstrate that the CBV plays an important role in professional qualification and in expanding access to education: 88.4% of the campus alumni who answered the institutional survey were inserted in the labor market and 57% worked in the same area of their training. However, challenges remain concerning the limited local economic diversification, the concentration of occupations in the public sector, the need to expand practical experiences and the difficulty of some alumni to work in their areas of training.
