Given the social and environmental complexity of the sector, the formulation of policies for its organization is indispensable. The State of Roraima, characterized by its location on the northern border, finds in tourism a promising strategy to diversify its economy, due to its significant potential, vast biodiversity, and strong cultural identity. The Government of Roraima has formulated and implemented policies for the sustainable use of this potential, seeking to strengthen infrastructure and promote the state's image. This work aims to show the tourism actions carried out by the Government of Roraima, demonstrating the main tourist attractions and their locations. The study is of a theoretical-analytical nature, with a qualitative approach, using bibliographic and documentary research. Through the theoretical framework, the study analyzes the development of tourism and its impacts with the participation of the State. The documentary analysis relates the main public tourism policies in Brazil and the actions, plans, and programs executed by the government of Roraima for sustainable development. The results show the growth of tourism in the state, which is achieving its objectives and goals related to the development of a tourism policy that meets local needs, also considering federal government programs aimed at regional development.pt-BRTurismoDesenvolvimentoPolíticas PúblicasRoraimaO turismo e seu desenvolvimento para o Estado de Roraimatcc_graduacaoCIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
