Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the relevance of practical classes in Biology teaching for the construction of students' scientific knowledge. The research is characterized as bibliographic, with a qualitative approach and descriptive nature, using as its analytical corpus books, scientific articles, dissertations, and other academic productions related to Biology teaching, active methodologies, and the construction of scientific knowledge Scielo, Google Acadêmico, Capes. Data analysis was performed using content analysis techniques, organizing the results into thematic categories. The results showed that practical classes contribute to the understanding of biological content by making it more concrete and accessible, favor the articulation between theory and practice by relating scientific knowledge to students' daily lives, and promote the development of scientific thinking through observation, investigation, hypothesis formulation, and interpretation of results.
