The overall objective of this study is to analyze the challenges and possibilities for the retention and success of student-mothers in Professional and Technological Education, considering the relationships between motherhood, educational interruption, digital culture, and academic background. This qualitative study was conducted through bibliographical research and an experiential report by the author as a graduate student-mother at the Federal Institute of Roraima. The literature review drew from scientific literature related to student retention, motherhood, digital culture, and Professional and Technological Education, with content analysis grounded in Bardin's methodology. The results highlight that student-mothers face barriers related to the gender division of labor, the overload of caregiving responsibilities, and institutional limitations that hinder their academic retention. It is also evident that digital culture, when linked to a critical and emancipatory perspective, can contribute to making educational processes more flexible and expanding the possibilities for continuing studies. As an intervention proposal, an action plan directed at the Federal Institute of Roraima is presented, involving institutional diagnosis, strengthening student assistance, and implementing technology-mediated curricular flexibility.
