Traditional approaches centered on memorization and theoretical exposition are often insufficient to promote meaningful learning. In this context, this qualitative research, based on a literature review, aims to investigate the impacts of using music as a didactic strategy in Biology teaching. Music, as a universal language and an integral part of students’ daily lives, can contribute to the creation of a more attractive, participatory, and learning-friendly environment, promoting cognitive, creative, and socioemotional development. The methodology involved the analysis of approximately 75 to 82 academic publications obtained from databases such as Google Scholar, SciELO, CAPES Journals, and ERIC. The results indicate that the integration of music into Biology teaching enhances the understanding of complex concepts, stimulates student interest, strengthens interdisciplinarity, and broadens the connection between scientific knowledge and everyday experiences. The study also addresses the limitations of this practice, such as the lack of teacher training and inadequate school infrastructure. Thus, the research highlights the need to value artistic languages as pedagogical tools and reinforces the importance of musicalization as an ally in the development of innovative methodologies in Biology education.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilEnsino de biologiaMúsica e educaçãoEstratégias didáticasEngajamento escolarAprendizagem significativaA música como estratégia didática na educação básica no ensino de biologia: impactos na apredizagem e no engajamento dos estudantestcc_graduacaoCIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS
