Metodologias ativas no ensino de ciências na educação de jovens e adultos (EJA) em Caracaraí - Roraima: contribuições para a alfabetização científica e permanência escolar. 2026. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas) - Instituto Federal de Roraima, Boa Vista, 2026.https://repositorio.ifrr.edu.br/handle/123456789/537This qualitative and descriptive study analyzes, through bibliographic research, the contributions of active methodologies to science teaching in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), focusing on the educational reality of the municipality of Caracaraí, Roraima. The general objective is to investigate how these pedagogical strategies can promote scientific literacy and contribute to students’ retention in the educational process. The research is based on the principles of student protagonism, Freirean dialogicity, meaningful learning, and contextualized education. Methodologically, a bibliographic survey was conducted in databases such as the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Scholar, and the Portal of Periodicals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), encompassing publications between 2015 and 2025. The analysis of the material, guided by Bardin’s (2016) Content Analysis technique, showed that strategies such as Problem-Based Learning, inquiry-based teaching, and low-cost experimentation favor student engagement and the development of scientific literacy. The analyzed studies also indicate that valuing students’ life experiences and bringing scientific content closer to the Amazonian and riverside reality can make learning more meaningful. It is concluded that the adoption of active methodologies in science education constitutes a relevant pedagogical possibility to strengthen teaching and learning processes in Youth and Adult Education, promoting greater student participation and favoring the construction of contextualized scientific knowledge.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilEducação de jovens e adultosMetodologias ativasEnsino de ciênciasAlfabetização científicaMetodologias ativas no ensino de ciências na educação de jovens e adultos (EJA) em Caracaraí - Roraima: contribuições para a alfabetização científica e permanência escolartcc_graduacaoCIENCIAS BIOLOGICASCIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO::TOPICOS ESPECIFICOS DE EDUCACAO::EDUCACAO DE ADULTOSOUTROS::CIENCIAS
