The research is based on non-participant observation of the Camponesas do Lavrado group, composed of women farmers dedicated to agroecological production. The study is grounded in the understanding that pedagogical tourism is an educational tool capable of integrating school content with practical experiences in rural environments, while also valuing local culture and economy. To this end, a qualitative research approach and a case study methodology were adopted between 2023 and 2024, with the objective of identifying how family farming and traditional knowledge can enrich educational experiences in rural areas. The research employed non-participant observation, technical visits, and document analysis, focusing on three women farmers from the Camponesas do Lavrado group. The results highlight agricultural practices that do not use agrochemicals, environmental preservation, and a willingness to share traditional knowledge, such as cultivation techniques and local practices, indicating significant potential for pedagogical rural tourism. Although the settlement has a strategic location with easy access to a highway, it faces challenges such as the undervaluation of agroecological products in the local market, longer cultivation periods compared to conventional agriculture, a lack of adequate tourism infrastructure, and the need for training in management and customer service. Nevertheless, the study contributes to increasing the visibility of agroecological practices and to reflections on sustainable development strategies in rural communities.
