This work presents an integrative literature review, focusing on publications between 2023 and 2025, to analyze the impacts of these species on the Brazilian ecological balance and mitigation strategies. The results indicate that biological invasions compromise the conservation of native fauna and flora through mechanisms such as competition for resources, direct predation, genetic hybridization, and the dissemination of pathogens. Furthermore, IAS promote drastic changes in ecosystem dynamics, affecting nutrient cycling, fire regimes, and community structure, leading to biotic homogenization. The research highlights that, although Brazil possesses a robust legal framework, the effectiveness of control actions is limited by implementation failures and insufficient resources.
