A literatura afro-brasileira na sala de aula: tecendo saberes, recontando histórias. 2025. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Pós-Graduação Lato Sensu em Educação: Métodos e Técnicas de Ensino) – Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Roraima, Boa Vista, 2025.https://repositorio.ifrr.edu.br/handle/123456789/252Afro-Brazilian literature, when incorporated into the school environment, becomes a crucial pedagogical tool for confronting structural racism and valuing ethnic-racial diversity. Its presence in the curriculum represents not only the inclusion of new voices but also the reconfiguration of imaginaries and subjectivities historically shaped by Eurocentric perspectives. By bringing to light narratives that have long been silenced, this body of work contributes to the construction of an antiracist and decolonial education, capable of recognizing the centrality of Black experiences in Brazilian cultural formation. This article examines the contribution of Afro-Brazilian literature to the educational setting through the analysis of Becos da Memória (2006) by Conceição Evaristo, Mata Doce (2023) by Luciany Aparecida, and Água de Barrela (2016) by Eliane Alves Cruz. The study is guided by the question: how can these narratives foster decolonial practices within the school context? A qualitative methodology was adopted, grounded in bibliographic research and theoretical frameworks that address ethnic racial relations in education, such as Nilma Lino Gomes, Kabengele Munanga, Cuti, Aníbal Quijano, and Bell Hooks. The findings suggest that the inclusion of AfroBrazilian literature in school curricula still faces institutional and epistemological resistance, yet proves to be a powerful strategy for dismantling stereotypes, affirming Black identity, and reinforcing pedagogical practices that embrace cultural plurality. It is argued that Afro-Brazilian literature, when effectively integrated into educational practices, broadens the horizons of critical formation and enables meaningful learning experiences committed to social justice.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilLiteratura afro-brasileiraAutoras negrasDecolonialidadeIdentidade negraA literatura afro-brasileira na sala de aula: tecendo saberes, recontando históriastcc_especializacaoCIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO
