The study is qualitative and descriptive in nature, based on a review of literature and documents—including publications indexed in databases such as SciELO, Google Scholar, and the CAPES Journal Portal, as well as institutional and public news reports and magazines—focused on the Roraima region. The literature analysis revealed that, although Brazilian educational legislation recognizes Environmental Education as a cross-curricular component, its integration into the daily life of schools in Roraima still faces limitations. These are primarily linked to weaknesses in initial and continuing teacher training, a fragmented curriculum structure, and a scarcity of integrated pedagogical initiatives. Conversely, studies demonstrate that educational practices grounded in environmental perception and a critical perspective foster the development of students who are more participatory, reflective, and committed to socio-environmental issues.
