The present study evaluated the production of melon seedlings (Cucumis melo L.), BRS Araguaia variety, grown with humus derived from different organic substrates such as cattle manure, gliricidia (Gliricidia sepium), sawdust, and elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum). The experiment was conducted at the Federal Institute of Roraima, Novo Paraíso Campus, using five treatments and five replications. Growth parameters evaluated included seedling height, root length, number of true leaves, and fresh and dry mass. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA and Tukey’s test (p ≤ 0.05). The results demonstrated that the combination of cattle manure, gliricidia, and sawdust was the most efficient in seedling development. Vermicomposting proved to be a practical and sustainable technique for fruit seedling production under tropical conditions.pt-BRAttribution 3.0 BrazilAdubação orgânicaSustentabilidadeOlericulturaAvaliação do desenvolvimento de mudas de melão (Cucumis melo L. cv.
