The methodology is characterized as bibliographic research, with a qualitative approach and basic nature, based on books, scientific articles, and official documents published between 2021 and 2026, consulted in the SciELO, Google Scholar, and CAPES periodicals databases. The results show that multigrade teaching favors collaborative learning, the valuing of local knowledge, and the retention of students in rural areas. However, challenges related to teacher training, the scarcity of teaching resources, and the need for methodologies appropriate to the different stages of education persist.
