The teaching of Science and Biology refers to the process of scientific knowledge about living beings, the human body, the environment, health, and natural phenomena, connecting theory and practice. Moreover, studies have shown that these subjects can be integrated with others, like mathematics, which often create difficulties and lead students to just memorize content to complete assessments. The aim of this work was to investigate the alternative science and biology methodologies used to support the teaching of mathematics, presenting their theories and practices in the indigenous educational process.The study falls within the exploratory qualitative approach, which seeks the scientific theoretical foundation in authors related to the study of the topic. Through a literature review, two important studies conducted at the Adolfo Ramiro Levi Indigenous State School were selected to understand the topic.
